Junzor C lass H :story Off1cers Presldent Delbert Wood V1ce Presldent Paul johnson Secretary Frank Schrader Treasurer Pat Corbat In the fall of 47 twenty one Freshmen began thexr four year term at Coesse We entered w1th enthuslasm lnto as many act1v1t1es as posslble We gamed recognltlon that year by wlnmnv the class tourney but that was only the begxnmng for we had three more wonderful years to follow As Sophomores we gamed Bunny Kelrns and lost Kent Graves and Vlncent Carey By our second year we had progressed so much that we won the mouse campaxgn In our junlor year jane Vi alker dld not return and Pat Loe was transferred to Columbla Clty for the second semester Shortly after the beglnnmg of our umor year we presented a play entxtled Who Kllled Aunt Carol1ne'P It was a mystery comedy and you nex er would have thought Loretta Mtller capable of her part as the murderess But our talents extended even farther than dramatlcs In the athletlc and track Rex Roberson became a basketball vars1ty man ln hxs Sophomore year and has been actlve also 1n softball Dean Butler Frank Schrader and Delbert Wood went out for basketball softball track and cross country These boys verv well represent the Class of 51 Also Paul ohnson has been a student manager for two years Asxde from the athletlc fleld our class IS extremely mterested m mus1c Fmve of our class members are m the band and ten are 1n chorus janet Engle the drum majorette and Waneta Lezmnger the flag bearer and the two twxrlers Pat Corbat and Mary Lou Crawford are ln thls class also The members of our class belong to varxous clubs Several of the glrls Jolned the newlv orgamzed Future lflomemakers of Amerlca and the male members of our class are enrolled xn the Future Farmers of Amerxca Most of the glrls jomecl the Glrls Athlenc ASSOC1atlOn th1s year Our class members have dxstmgmshed themselves by entermg var1ous contests As Sophomores janet Enole and Bunny Ken-ns entered the speech contest Maralee Lawrence janet Engle and Loretta Mlller entered muslcal solo contests ln Fort Wayne also The Class of 51 has taken part ln all act1v1t1es and we hope to leawe Coesse Hugh School wxth a pleasant memory of us Bunny lxelrns 15 . . . . .
