CL. Presented by: Mr. Lawton - ddirgton Coeburn Community Library Lonesome Pine Regional Coeburn. Virginia REFLECTOR 1954 mnmsMJk u i ■- r t. ' PRESENTED BY THE SENIOR CLASS OF COEBURN HIGH SCHOOL COEBURN, VIRGINIA MARGARET COX Editor WILLETTA LAMBERT Business Manager Foreword Well . . . finally . . . here it is! By nip and tuck we made the deadline. It took work, hard work, and long hours of work. Often we had our props knocked from under us, and we didn ' t know just what to do. But, nevertheless, we struggled along and have staggered through. May it never be said we were quitters, for we had that determination that cannot be subdued. So ... if our work has been successful ... if our classmates approve the manner in which their activities have been recorded . . . a tired editor, a weary business manager, and an exhausted staff will be happy. THE STAFF Dedication It is our pleasure to dedicate the 1954 Reflector to Mrs. John Lunsford. It was her influence that paved the way for a richer, more eventful senior year. She was our sponsor for only a few months but her friendliness, her enthusiasm, and her genuine interest in our welfare will always be remembered. To our principal, Mr. Carl McConnell, we ore grateful. He knew the best and the worst of us; but in spite of our faults, his faith in us never failed. May we say Thank you, Mr. McConnell, for the inspiration, the encouragement, the ideals, the confidence, and the worthwhile suggestions you have given us.
