PUBLISHED by the SENIOR CLASS, COEBURN HIGH SCHOOL - COEBURN, VIRGINIA COEBUBN BIO H SCHOOL RODNEY HOUCHINS Editor JIM GRAHAM Business Manager lUfctftVUBRARY IbJ FOREWORD Herewith we present a collection of pictorial impressions good for later rem- iniscence for it is good to remember sometimes with joy and sometimes with tears faces, times, and places that were our youth, our flowing and spilling into adulthood with enthusiasm and spontaneity. Though this small document may not be of great or lasting consequence, it is of im- portance and significance to us. Do you remember ? THE STAFF MR. JOHN HOWARD HAMM Mr. John Howard Hamm was graduated from East Tennessee State College with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1945 he came to Coeburn High School to coach the Coeburn Blue Knights when no other coach was available. Since he has been at CHS, he has taught mathematics, history, biology, and English. When Mr. Hamm is not teaching, he has many other duties and activities to keep him busy. He drives a school bus, he is a member of the Local Basketball Officiating Association, and he still can find time for hunting and fishing. The seniors of CHS are happy to pay him a tribute by dedicating this 1953 Reflector to Mr. Hamm who during the years that he has been at CHS has loyally and faithfully co-operated with the student body to produce capable and competent citizens. “Thank you, Mr. Hamm The Senior Class Mr. Vernon Turner, B.
