For the past twenty- five years Coach Moray L. Eby has been a vital part of Coe College lite. Each year he has worked faithfully to build a football team which would be a credit to the college. Dean of Iowa coach- es, he is more than able to give expert training to the ath- letes who make up his teams: and they, being well grounded in fundamentals, prove that clean playing wins the game. Beloved by all who have Worked under him, and respected by rival coaches, he is a stirnu- lating friend He in- spires ambitions and brings out the best in people. The community of Cedar Rapids as Well as Coe College has benefited by his excellent handling of athletics in gen- eral and football in particular at Coe. Coach Eby has zeal- ously adapted him- self to changes that 5 have taken place on the campus. He is young enough to guide the destinies of Coe's intercollegiate football for years to come. To Coach Moray L. Eby we sincerely dedicate this 1939.1-XCORN. But Watch closely. Our tour of Coe College starts here. ' ' XY? ' - Tggiggy WH.

In the pages of this book we shall lead you through Coe's exteriors and interiors, accenting personalities. You will be introduced to the deans and faculty members as they appear to the student. We shall visit the new athletic grounds for an action review of the Kohawks in their 1938-39 struggle for sports supremacy.
