‘Anything Goes’ at CBNA ‘The smell of the grease paint, the roar of the crowd’ is a phrase often heard if you are around CBNA drama. Other common words are headaches, backaches, heartbreaks, voice strain, brain strain — you name it, CBNA Drama Club had it. Despite a dwindling membership and last-minute replacements, the show made it to Opening Night, April 18, 1986. No one but someone who has been through four months of frustrating rehearsals can know what it feels like to receive a standing ovation from an audience that has sat through what you thought would be the worst two hours of your life. It makes all the tears and pain — emotional and physical — worth it.
