Corning Together in Representation Since the majority of people in a school are the students, it is reasonable to assume that they should be entitled to representa- tion in the way the school is governed. For this purpose a group of students, chosen from each of the four classes, come together to ex- press their feelings on issues of importance. By working together and gathering their ideas, a stu- dent council should be able to ex- press the thoughts of the student body and help to improve negative aspects of a school. It is a difficult job for students to express their opinions and to help to do what they can for their school; but by coming together and working along with their ad- visors, it is possible. National Honor Society The National Honor Society is an organization that for over 50 years has worked to bring recognition to outstanding high school students to the attention of their parents, communities, and colleges.
