deans Disciplinar problems are handled Because they were required to main- tain discipline in a school of approx- imately 27OO students, Cocoa High's two deans were busy people. With the increased size of the school, the size of their jobs increased, too. Receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Utah, lVlrs. lVle- linda Poole became dean of girls for the school year 1969-1970. Coming to CHS in 1964, she worked in the library and the audio-visual room prior to becoming girls' dean. She was re- sponsible for girls' discipline and at- tendance. As dean of boys, lVlr. Bill lVlcGinn disciplined boys, recorded their at- tendance, and also assumed the job of athletic director. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Carolina. Secretary, lVlrs. Ethelyne lVlultop was indispensible to the operation of the deans' office. She kept office records and solved problems before they be- came big. r' 1 1. riei 1 . lVlrs. lVIultop, dean's secretary, goes over attendance records with assistant Terry Troutman.
