Larry Scott and Darrell Rainey discard all manners for this contest. Each year Apache Day is sponsored by ICC. Stu- dents round up brothers, sisters, and friends who be- come co-workers in the various events. As students took the few short strides from the spectator stands into the arena, they became undistinguishable as clouds of dust swirled around them. But they still moved out to participate in good spirit. The events included tobacco spittin', roll yer own, pie-eating, steer riding, and goat tying among others. 23
