Parents Day this year combined the talent and effort of all campus students. Each department set up an educational and entertaining program inform- ing parents of scholastic and social activities. Stu- dents, too, learned more about Cochise. Instead of following the same straight path they took the time to walk around the corner to question a new op- portunity. After students became more aware of activities they also became more involved the fol- lowing months.

Now that he is living in the dorm Mark Munguia finds more to do. College activities starting Saturday, September ll, were oriented to incoming freshmen as new and old friends attended Dr. Edwards,s welcome to the col- lege. Afterwards students were invited to participate voluntarily during the scheduled weekend. Saturday and Sunday served as a short introduction to a changing social life, but Monday marked the con- tinuing ofthe essential study routine. 13

Patty Smith, Susan Hirales, and old friends discuss the future. The annual Senior Day program was hosted De- cember ll by ambitious Red Key members. These hardworking students accepted the responsibility of acquainting visiting seniors with advantages and attractions at CC. Clubs took the initiative to set up information booths to answer questions about their function and activity. One county senior was overheard commenting to a companion about CC's friendly atmosphere and beautiful campus. 15
