All-Stars The intramural All-Star flag-football team was a first at Cochise Col- lege. The team competed in Pima College's Hag football tournament at Pi- ma College. The All-Stars placed second, losing to Central Arizona Col- lege in the championship game. Members of the All-Star team were chosen by the captains of each team in the intramural flag-football program. Nine players were placed on the squad by the Meat Packers, while the Raiders landed six, the White Knights four and the Weedburners one. This year's intramural flag-football winners were the notorious Meat Packers. The team composed of all out-of-staters compiled a 10-0 record. Upon being interviewed, Tom Airington, player-coach of the Meat Packers, pointed out that the biggest edge his team had on the other teams was their ability to pick-up the plays on defense and to come up with the big-play on offense. When asked what he considered the highlight of their undefeated season, he commented that it was beating the Raiders twice and edg- ing the White Knights. Defeats of the Raiders featured two key plays, and Assistant Coach Herb Von Hagen's long run sparked the team against the White Knights. . Flag-Football Champs
