To The Class of 1964: Your yearbook mirrors the events of this school year. In it we may see the pageant of the year as it swept by day by day and event by event. History will record this year as one of major importance with the presidential tragedy, world disturbances and integration problems in our own country. You will think of it as the year in which you reached another rung on the ladder of life. In your theme Today's Youth is Tomorrow's Citizen you have chosen well. I feel sure the academic, social, athletic and inspirational ex- periences you have had here at Cocalico will en- able you not only to meet but to conquer the intricate problems of your future. Remax? SASL Robert F. Smith Supervising Principal To The Class of 1964: Because the Youth of Today has a wealth of knowl- edge which yesterday's youth did not have the op- portunity to experience, he is responsible to avoid behavior which injures his fellow citizen, hence his country. For this reason, the awesome res- ponsibility facing youth, The Citizen of Tomorrow, is increased many fold. Every individual is born with hopes and aspirations and his way of life must conform to God's in- tentions if he is tolive successfully. Youth's com- mitment must be to greater freedom for his fellow man and protect his highest degree of personal freedom possible within a framework of law and order. As the Bible puts it: Whoso looketh into the PER- FECT LAW OF LIBERTY and continueth there- in this man shall be blessed in his deed. This is your challenge. Sincerely, X A uw-94. P- LU Homer P. Weaver High School Principal 9
