Zeofcahbn We the class of 1962 wish to dedicate our yearbook to Miss Catherine Werkheiser. Miss Werkheiser instructed our class in World Cultures and also taught Problems of Democracy. Through her World Cultures classes we have acquired a broader outlook on life and a better understanding of the world around us. Miss Werkheiser obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and government at Cedar Crest College. For the past two years she has been a member of Cocalico's faculty. During these two years, in addition to teaching her regular classes, she also coached the girls' basketball team. She has been a friend to many a student, and we wish to dedicate this yearbook to her in an effort to show her how we appreciated her part in guiding us through our senior year. I 4

Scioof Boar Graduates of the class of 1962. All of you will remember this year and especially the day February 20th as the beginning of a new era. The year 1962 will always be associated with the successful three orbits of outer space. There is no doubt you will always remember the name Col. John Glenn. You will also recall 1962 as the year marking the final phase of your public education. Twelve years of preparation are now in the past. You are proving they have been well spent. The citizens of Cocalico Union are justly proud of your accomplishments. You now become a part of the Alumni of this school. We have every right to believe you will continue as good citizens, aiding your commimity, adjusting to new and better things to come, and maintaining the basic moral and spiritual values which your parents and forefathers have given you.
