.lealica fion With Sports as the theme, we, the Class of 1960, wish to dedicate our year- book to a person who has unselfishly contributed to the encouragement and pro- motion of sports at Cocalico Union. Since his arrival at our school three years ago, Mr. Galen Weidman has raised the school spirit by developing and training an excellent football team. In 1958, he coached the boys to an undefeated championshipg the following year the team missed the championship by losing only one league game by two points. In addition to his coaching activities, he is a junior high social studies teacher. Mr. Weidman is also an active member of many organizations including the Cocalico Union Booster Club, South Central Coaches' Organization, and the War Memorial Association. In appreciation of the time and effort you have contributed to sports at Cocalico Union, we are honored to dedicate this edition of the Ko-Ka-LefKo to you, Mr. Weidman.

ulaeruia ing rincilaa TO THE CLASS OF 1960: The day for which you anxiously waited has comeg you have received the award for the twelve years you have invested in education - - namely, your diploma. The time, effort, knowledge, cooperation, and understanding you have ex- hibited during your school days will probably be in proportion to your earnings, successfulness and happiness in later years. True success or failure in life can- not be determined now, or measured at any time by men bestowing you with awards or merits of achievement. Real greatness comes from within you. It is manifested in many ways - - perhaps by thoughtfulness, kindness, humbleness, love or aid which is offered to anyone in sorrow, or to a community or people in need. Greatness knows no boundaries, it is a priceless possession and is within reach of all. Continue to build upon the foundation of truth, righteousness and courage throughout life. Although men may never acclaim the rewards you deserve, there is a Great Judge who will award every person according to his worth. It is this best award that I wish for each one of you. Sincerely, DANIEL B. KNAUER.
