Despite many heated arguments about the style and color of our class rings, we finally reached an agreement and chose a black onyx setting topped with the school seal. The time for finals had arrived. Signs of worry could be seen on many faces. Would we or would we not pass? That was the question. At last the finals were over, and we knew the answer. ' fff DN us 'U 5 , N, ,A voxxi 11:-----2: ------ --1---::--------------- 'Wa KTQW Class iroplliecy Quickly ten years have flown by. Here it is-the year 1959-the time for the reunion of the class of '49, Eagerly at the airport we await the arrival of our plane to take us to the home of IOANNE RUOSS, where the reunion is to be held. Ioanne lives on a beautiful estate near New York City where she spends her time raising prize cocker spaniels. She also owns a veterina- rian hospital of which DR. BARBARA MELLINGER is chief veterinarian. We are notified the president of the airlines wishes to see us. As we enter the office we see none other than WARREN LORAH, with MARGARET WINDISH as his private secretary. They have planned to fly with us to the reunion. Finally our luxurious plane arrives. The pilot is LT. CHARLES WEITZEL, of the United States Air Force. With him is DOROTHY PETERY, who is also a member of the Air Force. The new stream-lined plane was designed by the famous aeronautical engineer, GEORGE I-IAINLEY. Finally we board the plane. My, who are all these distinguished looking passengers! That looks like-yes, it is-SENATOR RALPH LUTZ and the Secretary of Agriculture, CHARLES MOYER, going to Washington to confer with the new REPUBLICAN president. Here is MRS. STEWART, who is taking a business trip in interest of her large pig farm. Talking with her is SYLVIA GETZ, the air hostess. Also there is ADA SEBASTIAN, the owner of the largest chain restaurants in the country. The famous chemist, PAUL A. BUCKS, who has discovered a new element, bucktonium, is on the plane. Later two famed mathematicians, PRO- FESSORS IOI-IN P. KRICK and RUTH MOYER, join us. They are going to help Einstein in geometric research. What was that zooming by? It's MISS Mc- CLEAF, in her neat little plane taking a trip around the world for a rest after a nerve-racking year with the Seniors. Later we pick up the former MISS CHERRINGTON and her husband, who wish to spend the remainder of their vacation in Germany. PEGGY GUNSELMAN, the well-known designer comes aboard the plane with MARYANNE BURKHOLDER, the famous Powers Model, who will model some of Peggy's latest creations in Paris. At last we reach our destination. We await the rest of the class in Ioanne's spacious drawing room. This and many other rooms in the house were designed and decorated by the famous interior decorator, IOAN EBERLY. We look in the New York Times to see how we can spend the day. The Editor is ELLA MAE HAGY, who has also written a few novels. On the entertainment page are listed the opera singer, EVELYN GEHMAN, and the great violinist, MRS. VERNA IMBER, who will appear at Carneigie I-Iall. There is also an art exhibit of some of the paintings of MISS GLORIA PIERSOL, the famous artist. Then on the sports side of the news, there is a wrestling match between the world's champion, HARRY WEITZEL, and his greatest challenger. Yes, he is known as Muscles Weitzel these days. By this time RANDALL KEGERISE, a prominent banker of New York has arrived. MAUREEN SWEIGART, the noted Child Physcholo- gist is also here. Then a truck stops out front. On the side it reads Grand- ma's Home-made Pies and Cakes. Yes, women all over the United States are following the recipes of ROBERT HERSHEY, who has taken over for Betty Crocker, and owns a large bakery besides. Then an industrious looking busi- ness man comes in. He is WILLIAM OCHS, the head of the Ochs Brush Com- pany which rose to fame so fast it caused the Fuller Brush Company to go bankrupt, Now that everyone is here, we decided to have dinner and after- wards talk about old times and congratulate everyone on his success. Finally, tired and happy, we flew home, and eagerly looked forward to our next re- union. :::::::::::::::: ::::: ::::. 2gP.::::::: ::::::::::::::::::0 f N C., I :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::31::::: ------ Q'-x X-X VOX Class will and Testament We, the Class of l949, of the Denver High School, of the County of Lancaster, of the State of Pennsylvania, being physically fit, morally respon- sible, and mentally alert, do hereby declare and publish this our last Will and testament in manner as follows: SENIOR CLASS VVILLS Mr. Bucks- Miss Cherrington- Mrs. Imber- Mr. Krick- Mr. Lutz- Miss McCleat- Miss Piersol- Mrs. Stewart- Maryanne Burkholder- Ioan Eberly- Evelyn Gehman- Sylvia Getz- Peggy Gunselman- Ella Mae Hagy- George Hainley- Robert Hershey- Randall Kegerise- Warren Lorah- Barbara Mellinger- Charles Moyer- Ruth Moyer- William Ochs- Dorothy Petery- Ioanne Ruoss- Ada Sebastian- Maureen Sweigart- Charles Weitzel- Harry Weitzel- Margaret Windish- The Senior Class of 1949 Wills to all the remaining grades success and the best ol luck in their remaining school days.
