' -r ' Tfea5U-fer N V, Ji The colts romped through the white gate to the greener pastures of high school with 31 in number, but before many weeks this number dwind- led to 28. Roberta Nestle acted as the leader and Deanne Pirtle as her assistant. Donna Smith kept records concerning the colts' activities, while David Deffenbacher was elected their treasurer. Delores Butler and Marden Jones, acting as Red Cross representatives, lent their kind assistance to the injured. Judy Adair and Eugene Perdue voiced their opinion at the meeting of the big four. Sandra Lanini wrote the monthly reports for the paper which were put out from the stable. Fame and recognition were won for the colts by Donna Smith, who won a varsity letter in volleyball. Deanne Pirtle and Marden Jones were elected Queen and King for one of the Stable's biggest annual affairs, the CARNI- VAL. Donna Smith and Mike McKibben were prince and princess for their first formal SWEETHEART SWING. Emily Forcum, Donna Smith, and Delores Butler won certificates for poetry, and Judy Adair, for an essay. We, the colts, have just be un. By the time we become mares and stallions, we will have accompgished many things for the Stable.
