I RAYMOND EGGE JACK HOWLAND X ILA PIRTLE KATHY GRAVU-LE President Vice President SCCFCIBYY Tfeasllfel' Every stable must have a iood leader, so at the beginning of the year, we elected the best. Raymond gge as head stallion, and Jack Howland to take charge of the stable when Raymond was gone. Kathy Graville was elected treasurer to pay for the feed. lla Pirtle kept all records concern- ing their progress. Sarah Manley and John Caudill met with the representatives of the other stables to see that peace was kept and everyone was happy. Loretta Longcoy and Bob Olmstead served as veterinarians. Wayne Elwood was editor of the monthly paper concerning the activities of all the stable members. Nine of the stallions were awarded football letters for their endurance and fleetness. They were: Arlen Gustafson, Jack Howland, Bob Olmstead, Ray Cantrell, Raymond Egge, D. L. Littlejohn, Ronald Lawrence, Dale Hunt, and Jim Lanz. Basketball and Volleyball brought more fame and recognition to the stable. Sarah Manley, Sarah Dewees, and Ila Pirtle were three mares who lettered in Volleyball. Arlen Gustafson, Raymond Egge, Ray Cantrell, Bob Olmstead, Ronnie Lawrence, John Caudill, Dale Hunt, and Jim Lanz were the lettering stallions in Basketball. Loretta Longcoy, Sarah Dewees, and Sarah Manley served as cheer leaders to keep up the spirit and sportsmanship of the barn. Judy Short acted as president of the Social Activity Committee. Dena Smith and Bob Olmstead were prince and princess for the barn's biggest whing-ding, the SWEET!-IEART'S SWING dance. Out of the herd, we chose Lois Manley and Melvin Bridges to be our prince and princess for the big event of the corral, THE CARNIVAL. The herds mixed for the big social event of the year, THE SWEET- HEARTS' SWING. We chose Lyle Green and Helen Chamberlain for our can- didates for king and queen. We are proud to say they won. Our herd did quite well in sports, although it did not win too many letters. At mid-term the prize winning Broncos were Helen Chamberlain, Jim Sexton, and Lyle Green for their essays, Edwin Youn , Lois Manley, Mazie Brown, Anne McKibben, Helen Chamberlain, Janice Green, Junior Wiggins, Mary Parks, and Sue Lewis for their poems. ft Ronald Bebee Lester Newin ham Eu ene Lanz Edwin Young Lyle Green Howard!-laworth MelvinBridges To?
