, PROPHECY '59, NIM jx CLASS or '50 Since I finally secured my position as secretary with one of the city's largest firms, I worked quite steadily for some time before I was given a vacation. One wonderful day during my vacation, I was horseback riding on a famous Dude Ranch, when suddenly the horse decided he no longer had need of a rider, and I went flying through the air. I landed with a terrible thud, was stunned momentarily, and then became conscious that someone was bending over me. I was surprised to see Rose Farmer in a nurse's uniform. Although she may be on a vacation, yet she takes along her equipment and a uniform in case of an emergency. She seems to be a very conscientious worker. Well, who is that sitting over there under the tree? She seems to be writing very fast and furiously. Who else but Shirley Crook! She always enjoyed writing short stories. Now she tel s me she is work- ing on her third novel. Her first two seemed to make quite a hit with the public. There's a tall young fellow standing over by the corral. I guess I'll go over and talk to him. He reminds me a lot of Bgy Youne. It is! He tells me he is center on the University of Oregon Basketball team. He thought they needed him to help them out of their loosing streak. H I hear there's some woman trying to redecorate the ranch house. I'll take a peek. I might have known-Patricia Swan o, trying out her color schemes again. I'll bet I know what it wiil look like when she gets through! I heard June Bedortha, or rather, Mrs. Munsell, was Visiting here. June and Auldy got married soon after graduation, and now they have two little girls. They surely have been taught to mind. June always said her kids would never be spoiled. It looks as though the fleet just got in. Here comes three sailors singing Anchors Aweigh. Why, it's Louis Worle , Chuck Stolsi , and Qgb Snyder! K ' fda On my way upstairs to change clothes for dinner, I met Donna Andrews She has finally become an airplane hostess on the United Air Lines. She meets lots of people and really enjoys her work. Whose little boy is that? There's a woman coming after him now. Why, it's Jimmie Lea Stafford, or rather Mrs. Rayfield. She was ' married auringjaer senior year, and has her hands full taking care of her son and husband. On my way downstairs to dinner I met Verna Branson loaded down with suitcases. She arrived just in time for'dinner and was on her way to her room. She is a private stenographer in Washington, D. C. She really has advanced! Oh, my! The dinner looks scrumptious! I wonder who cooked it? Back in the kitchen is Darlene Gustafson who is slaving away to get a salad made. She used to work in Manley's Cafe and volunteered her services to cook the dinner. It was certainly enjoyable to visit with all my classmates again, and to think we were able to get together. This certainly has been a wonderful class reunion! !
