Bond Issue For Building Project The 2Vi million dollar bond issue has been approved and remodelling and rebuilding of the district schools began before school was out. The project will include new elementary schools for Central and San Lorenzo, a class- room and auxiliary gym and a new football field at Cobre High. This will be the first phase of the building project. The second phase will start during the summer and will include a remodelling of the library into a new learn- ing center plus some remodelling of the cafeteria. Snell Jr. High will have a new learning center, gym and an expan- sion of the shop area. Bayard and Hurley elementary schools will have new gyms, learning centers and additional classrooms. All ground facilities of schools involved will be improved. Mr. Frank Duran, assistant superintendent, has had the prime job of organizing and revising blue prints.
