Accumulate High Grade Averages, SOPHOMORES: Barbara Woodruff, Susie M. Dominguez, Tessie Flores, Martha Holguin, Judy Hill, Joe Rios, Patty Glover, Karen Walker, Melba Merino, Fay Connell, Thyra Sparks, Mary Valeric, Kothi Willis, Maria Parker, Laura Wallace, Shirley Beatty, Francine Grijalva, Mike Strain, John O ' Loughlin, Bryan Bortlett, Tommy Foy, Stonewall Smith, and Billy Hendrick are the top ten per cent of their class scholas- tically. Optimist Award Given for Second Year Roberta Ranyan and Ivan Apodaca received the Optimist Award. They were chosen by a faculty committee on: leadership, grade average, and acceptance among students. The Optimist Club recognizes youth appreciation in the most outstanding students. Seven schools were repre- sented and each school ' s representative gave a detailed account over radio station K. S.
