Candidates v ere voted upon during the class meeting. The students were to have a minimum 2.75 grade average and were to belong to at least two clubs or activities. Each student was screened by the faculty of Cobre High School. 77

Jesus Quinones, Basketball Ace; Ida Chip Varsity Cheerleader, Elected Junior Ideals. The Junior Class elected Jesus Quinones and Ida Chip as class Ideals. Jesus dons the red an d white uniform for the Cobre Basketball team. Ida as head cheerleader represents the cheerleaders in the Student Council. Both these students had the same qualifications as the other elected Ideals. 78
