Cobre Varsity Chooses Linda Homecoming ' 65 Weeks of preparation by Student Council and C Club made the Cobre High School Homecoming the most dominant feature of the football season. Student Council sponsored the selling of mums, the lighting of the C , and a reunion for the classes of ' 35, ' 45, and ' 55. C Clubs selection of the Homecoming Court highlighted the week of festi- vities. Before the football game was played with Lordsburg, the court, Linda Wysong, Teresa Castillo, Terry Wofford, and Sally Allen were driven around the field and escorted to a platform decorated in red and white. Tears of joy fi lled Queen Linda ' s eyes as Ronnie Hickman, quarterback for the Indians, presented her with her crown and a bouquet of red roses. After the tied game. Homecoming was completed when the court was honored at a dance sponsored by C Club. i ' «ypr i» t. • » v« :l . WF ' w n Teresa, Linda, Terry, and Sally watch the Cobre-Lordsburg game with much interest. Among Linda ' s school activities, co-editor of the music section in the Chieftain is included. 64
