Basketball Takes Spotlight VARSITY— FRONT ROW: Richard Marrufo, Skip Acosta, Joe Moreno, and Tito Ojinaga. SECOND ROW: Jackie Munoz, Curtis Rogers, Richard Garcia, and Chuy Quinones. BACK ROW; Mr. Jorrett, Paul Cosorez, Jeff Roy, Ben Wilson, Richard Perez, and Benny Focio, manager. Basketball took the spotlight at Cobre High this season. , After a slow start the Red and White came back to finish with an 18-8 record, their best since the ' 62- ' 63 campaign. At district the roundballers defeated Silver for a third time to take first place honors. The trek to state was worthwhile with the Indians gaining valuable experience and bring- ing home fourth place.
