Cobre Has New Activity Director. Mr. Robert Jarrett is Cobre High ' s new Activity Director. He succeeds Mr. Rex. Dempsey who was named Co- ordinator of Physical Fitness and Ath- letics for the Cobre District. Mr. Jar- rett earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from New Mexico State University and his Master of Science in Education from Western New Mex- ico University. He has taught for seven and a half years at Cobre prior to his promotion and has coached the basketball and track teams for a num- ber of years. Mr. Jarrett performs one of his doily duties: signing on admit slip. Nurse Keeps Records In Order Mrs. Elizabeth Thorne, school nurse, attended Western New Mexico Uni- versity, University of Minnesota and the Minnequa School of Nursing. She holds a B. S. degree and is a Regis- tered Nurse and Public Health Nurse. She is an affiliate of the New Mexico Nurses ' Association District 12, the Grant County Tuberculosis Associa- tion, New Mexico Department of Health and Delta Kappa Gamma. Class Officers ore: Manuel Gollogos, student council representative; Dann Solas, stu- dent council representative; Christy Horcasitos, secretary; Karen Walker, president; Martha Holguin, vice-president; Potty Glover, student council representative; Kathi Willis, treasurer; and Ana Ramirez, student council representative. Francine Grijolva acted in the office of treasurer for the first semester, but resigned. Kathi Willis v as elected for the office and served for the second semester. 138
