Future Homemakers of America The Cabrera ' s provided entertainment for the banquet. Yolanda Martinez, Reino Montes, Margaret Enriquez and Yvonne Hernandez introduce their mothers at the F. H. A. Mother- Daughter Banquet. Toward New Horizons , is the goal set for the mem- bers of the Future Homemakers of tomorrow. The club took port in many projects and activities this year which included the annual F. H. A. Banquet, initiation of new members, and a cherry pie sale. To be a member of F.H.A., members are required to be taking, or have been enrolled in Home Economics in the post, and must know the F.H.A. creed, and have read the club ' s constitution. This year there are forty- four members in F.H.A. The club is affiliated with na- tional and state chapters. 116

Holds Annual Father-Son Banquet . - Norman Jackson shows his lamb at the Southwestern International Livestock Show in EI Paso. belle received champion honors for his lightweight Southdown lamb. They also attended the Cliff-Gila Fair where Jimmy Rogers and Norman Jackson received pur- ple ribbons for their Grand Champions in the heavy weight Poland-China swine and heavy weight mutton sheep divisions, respectively. At the New Mexico State Fair Dell Herring was awarded Reserve Champion of the Poland-China breed, second place in Chester Whites and second place in a pen of three Chester Whites. The Cobre Future Farmers of America is a club pri- marily for interested boys who have taken at least one year of Vocational Agriculture in junior or senior high. Club officers include Ron Moore, president; John Faust, vice president; Dale Carter, secretary; Jerry Turner, treasurer; Jimmy Delk, reporter; Dell Herring, sentinel; and Billy Faust, parlimentarian.
