The Futura Chapter of the Future Secretaries association boasts twenty-four members this year. In order to be a member a student must be a business education student of unquestionable character and integrity and have evidenced a superior aptitude for, and an interest in, secretarial work. The purpose of the organization is to stimulate interest in and develop a better understanding of the potentials of a secretarial career. The club officers were Rosie Garza, president; Shirley Duncan, vice president; Gloria Alvidrez, secretary; Dolores Sandoval, treas- urer; and Orpha Silva, historian. This year ' s projects included the initiation, Christmas basket, talent show, workshop, tour of Kenne- cott, taffy and bake sale and a doll raffle. FJA is a club for students interested in journalism and maintaining at least a B aver- age in publications. The installation of offi- cers and initiation banquet was held in Silver City. Officers are: Mary Sue Evatt, president; Barbara Biebelle, vice president; Ray Donald- son, secretary; and Penni Wright, treasurer. Holds Annual Father-Son Banquet . - Norman Jackson shows his lamb at the Southwestern International Livestock Show in EI Paso. belle received champion honors for his lightweight Southdown lamb. They also attended the Cliff-Gila Fair where Jimmy Rogers and Norman Jackson received pur- ple ribbons for their Grand Champions in the heavy weight Poland-China swine and heavy weight mutton sheep divisions, respectively. At the New Mexico State Fair Dell Herring was awarded Reserve Champion of the Poland-China breed, second place in Chester Whites and second place in a pen of three Chester Whites. Club officers include Ron Moore, president; John Faust, vice president; Dale Carter, secretary; Jerry Turner, treasurer; Jimmy Delk, reporter; Dell Herring, sentinel; and Billy Faust, parlimentarian.
