Modern Music Masters is an honorary club for all students who have lettered In either chorus, band or orchestra, and who have maintained at least a ' C overage. Officers are Janie Shinn, president; Donny Green, vice president; and Dolores Sandoval, secretary- treasurer. At the beginning of the year Tri-M members attended a dinner held for the initiates at the Drifter. Amanda Oliver and Margo Edwards provided the entertainment. The club sponsored a hootenanny which featured Tyrone Morris and Miss Ronnie Finnegan, folksingers. Members traveled to El Paso to see TIARA, an operetta presented at Texas Western University. SECOND ROW: Bennie Facio, Jimmy Moore, Cipriono Montoya, Ivan Apodoco, Robby Davis, Jackie Munoz, Lawrence Quintona. Fred Hurtodo, Jesus Quinones, Tony Rios, Walter Blebelle. THIRD ROW: Johnny Benavidez, Simon Ortiz, Tony Sepulveda, Skip Ward, Tommy Foy, Skip Acosta, John Dempsey, Joe Andozolo, Ricky Provencio, Willie Andozola, Robert Ojinogo, Fronk Lopez. ' C Club is the letterman ' s club of Cobre— and Is open to any athlete who lettered in one or more sports. The officers were Simon Ortiz, president, and Johnny Benavidez, secretary-treasurer. Mr. Bob Jarrett and Mr. Ron Darnell sponsored the club. ' C Club sponsored the homecoming and sweetheart dances, raffled a signed basketball at the Cobre— Silver game, donated $100 to Booster Club and collected items for the Booster Club Auction. The Hall of Fame, which was organized this year, is a display of photographs of all past ' C Club mem- bers who have succe eded in the athletic field. Four Quill % Scroll Members Receive Publication Awards Terry Wofford, Mary Sue Evatt, Emily Smith and Fra;ices Gomez received awards for outstanding service in publications. Quili Scroll is an honor organization for publication students in the upper third of the junior and senior classes. This year the members met at Luisa ' s where they held their annual banquet. Barbara Biebelle was elected president; Rosalina Alderette, vice- president; Sue Evatt, secretai and Penni Wright, treasurer. Special awards were presented to Mary Sue Evatt and Emily Smith for earning the highest number of points and selling the most ads on their respective staffs. Frances Gomez received the Quill Scroll award for creative writing and Terry Wofford re- ceived a Herf-Jones key as outstanding edi- tor in 1966. 1.
