COBB GRADED SCHOCL Mrs. Christenson, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Day, Principal. The Cobb Grade School, under the guidance and instruction of Mrs. Day, Principal, seventh and eighth grades, Mrs. Hill, fourth and fifth grades, Mrs. Hughes, third and fourth grades, and Mrs. Christenson, first and second grades, was active throughout the entire year. A very worthy project on conservation was completed by the pupils of the seventh and eighth grades. The grades cooperated with the high school in helping with the exhibits and in making a float for the school fair. This year, as a means of raising money for the grade basketball suits, the girls and boys sold candy and popcorn. A great deal of interest was shown in the grade school basketball games which Mr. Schmitz coached. A delightful Christmas Program was held for the parents and friends of the pupils. The operetta, Snow White was presented to an appreciative audience. This was directed by Mrs. Zander and the grade teachers. Open House was held April 9, for the parents and friends of the grade and high school students. This gave the visitors a chance to get acquainted with the teachers, view the work of the children, and to discuss various problems. The school year closed with each room having a picnic. The eighth grade graduation was held with the high school commencement exercises on May 19.
