Unattended class meetings, unattended committee meetings, SGA roll call covered with little X's, finding out in the middle of the year that Coastal does have a basketball team, baseball team, and almost any club you could want to join, dances held at least once a month that some people skip and realize later that the chance comes only once. Yes, Virginia, Coastal does have some students who care. The only problem is finding them.

Once upon a time, Coastal was visited by a strange little wee person. When he arrived, he tried to find a place to park his little saucer. But, lo and be- hold, the only place left was on top of the Williams Brice Building in Slot 34C. After squeezing in the lot, he decided to visit the lovely building call- ed the library. Maybe he could find some books on this planet to read on the habits of the earth people. But the library had no materials on earthmen. Well, the man was hungry so he went to Cino's Roost to eat. But again, space was a problem. There was no place left to put his food - even after paying all the money he had to his name. Looking around, he realized that the custom here on earth was to leave your food lying on the tables, in some sort of pop art form. But it had to be done in the right manner. He placed his french fries in his tea and then painstakingly brushed his cigarette ashes onto his plate. Finally, he placed his gum in his catsup and sprinkled pepper 'U K -ff wat, ' ae? Wav, 'rl AX. Satisfied that his mess was as good as any he had seen, he decided to take a little stroll. On the way out, he saw some girls kicking and yelling at a machine. Ahh --- money evidently meant nothing to ma- chines here on earth, only hand contact meant somethin g, The little man was now tired and ready to go home and think over all he had seen.
