Three To sc.. Get Ready F Ready for whatever comes: Foreign lands Monsters Outer space Social studies takes the class on a travel tour of foreign lands and lan- guage. Faraway places with strange sounding names are brought closer through study, and Marco Polic's visit to Yugoslavia makes travel across the sea a reality. Mars, monsters and mysterious obiects have always fascinated stu- dents. Loch Ness, Big Foot, and Yetti bring spinetingling excitement to imaginative third graders. The lure of outer space makes boys dream of being astronauts and visiting Mars. The idea of space ships and strange things in the sky cause all to stop and look toward the stars at night. Science awakens young minds to great thoughts and third grade readies students for even broader areas of knowledge before them.
