:lv-'A FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY We, the Freshman Class of 1950, entered Coalton High School in September with an enrollment of forty- fivo members. ' We elected the following class offlcersz Robert Carter, President 1 Franklin Marco, Vice-President Ann Saffel, Secretary Janice Corley, Treasurer D , Magdaline Silveeter and Gerald Helmick, Cheerleaders Wanda Thomason, Class councilman Janice Corley and Magdaline Silvester represented our class on tho Student Council. Magdaline Silvester and Jeanette Thacker were our cheerleaders. The following Freshman boys were on the Junior High basketball-team: Frankie Bertell, Guy Travise, Paul Shannon, Glenn Lee, Franklin Marco, Bill Loudin, Robert Kisnor, Jearl Taylor, Charles Herron, and Donald Fitzwater. Our class colors are Blue and white, and our . motto is WOnward to Succoss.W Mr. Gainor has been our Freshman sponsor.

During this year our class officers have been: Ellen Johnsen, President Betty Simon, Vice-Presidnnt Marie Broschnrt, Secretary George Saffel, Treasurer Charlene Jackson, Councilman Charlene Jacks on, Cheerleader ' This year we have been represented on the Student Council by Joan Ross and Marie Broschart. . Clyde Goff, Richard George, Jerry Harvey, Bobby Loudin, end Ralph Mills were active in varsity basketball One of our girls, Phillis Silvester, was elected assistant cheerleader for school. Our girls basketball team won theinter-class tournament championship. - We have had one class party this year which we enjoyed very much. We plan to have an outdoor party UT picnic as soon as the wefther permits. Our class sponsor has been Mr. Johnson, who has helped to make this year a very successful one for us. We now look forward to being the Juniors of 1952.
