What's this we hear, everyone is runnin . Why it's Bill Edmond with his private plane, leaving on a trip. Guess who's with him? It's Mary Rutherford. He has just picked her up at the West Penn office where she has worked several years. Bill now manages the Edmond Lumber Company of Flatbush, West Virginia. Dick Hollen is back at C. H. S. for a visit. He is at a table in study hall with a group of girls teas- ing them Justlike he did when he was an undergrad. Charles WBud' Yates is in the U. S. Navy. He is now doing two weeks KP because of losing an argument with the captain of his ship. The argument was over whether to sell through the Panama Canal or around Cape Horn in going from Norfolk to Pearl Harbor. We look now to the hospital and we see Sara Loudin and Anita Demotto roaming the halls in white. Sara is just about to lose her temper with one of her patient but she realizes she must hold on to herselfi Anita is running around carrying a stool so she wi 1 be high enough to administer penicillin shots. Now we hear a truck roaring down the road. It's Tony Ross in his new G.M.C. It shou1dn't rattle like that, he must have just gotten married because it has tin cans tied on it. Yes, there's Josephine in the cab with him. Lottie Booth is in the WAF'S and is home on a furlough. She has been stationed in Germany for the last five years. How glad she is to see all of her old classmates again: Here is Earl Miller in his new International truck. It has 'air brakes.n That was his nickname in C.H.S. Cornelia Miller got married in her senior year. She is now a secretary in Elkins, West Virginia and is getting along nicely managing her house work, her husband, and her office work all at the same time.. Cecil Kisner is now a bulldozer operator for a strip mining corporation in Virginia. S Y-, ,I , M , adn 1, . .1 1'- , A .'.. 3 u 1 1 1 s 'L .fu , s v Q 1 Q- . 4 .,' 1 1 We see Ronny Jones sitting in a big comfortable chair in his home, and being waited upon by maids. He has a new Cadillac and chauffeur. He is married to a millionaire, just like he wanted to be in '5l. Remember how he used to sing, Ulf You've Got the Money, Honey, I've Got the Timeh. Anna Mae Marco is now working for the F.B.I. ina Washington D.C. Thus for she hasn't caught any of her 1951 classmates, and we doubt that she will. Betty Travise operates her Beauth Salon in Coalton. She's doing well. we always predicted some- one would scmeday realize what a good spot the Nortonp Coalton section was for a beauty shop. Juanita Linger and her nshadown Catherine Phillips finally separated. Juanita is e typlst in San Franciseog Catherine works in New York City. Mae Zoeffel dressed in a WAF suit is hailing a cab. She has been helping her boss put the office in order. C Q29 Sf? -...i F! Pa i SPORTS The Coalton High School Basketball season ended with a very respectable record of sixteen wins and four losses. The season opened with two wins--one over St. Patricks and the next over Pickens. We then lost two games to Belington and Buokhannon, both Class NAU schools. Then we started a long winning streak, win- ning six straight from Parsons, Belington, Flemington, Thomas, Harman, and Walkersville in that order. Popular opinion has it that the Thomas game at Thomas saw our boys playing their best game of the season. J X, We lost to our old rivals, Tygarts Valley, but we came back to win from Thomas and Beverly. The game of the year in which we lost a heartbreaker 39-38 to Tygarts Valley on their floor was our next encounter. The close of the season saw us staging another six game winning streak over Flemington, St. Patricks, Par- sons, Walkersville, Harman and Beverly in that order. In the Sectional Tournament at Elkins we won our first game beating Beverly by 0. score of 55 to 36. This qualified us to play in the finals, where we met Tygarts Valley and were defected 62 to 50. Three of our players, all Seniors, made the all-tournament team: Tony Ross, at forward, Dick Hollcn, at center, and Ronald Jones at guard.
