G L E E C L U B The glee club is composed of sixteen girls from all the classes, with Mr. Clark Siedhoff as our directorg During this year we have sung folk songs, negro spirituals and hymns. ' The second semester we have used our club periods for the preparation of numbers for the high school . commencement and for the sermon to the seniors. On April 12, the glee club went to Elkins High School where they participated in an assembly program N A T I 0 N A L A U D U B 0 N J U N I 0 R C L U B The Audubon Junior Club of Coalton High School was organized December 13, 1949, with the following officers serving: '- 4 President ----- -----------Frances Antolini Vice-president ------------ --Marceline Ash Secretary and Treasurer----sMarie Roberts In addition to its regular meetings held each. Thursdag at 12230 the Club sponsored an assembly on fagch 2 , 1950. The program was built around bird- 1 e. There are thirteen active members.

S P O R T S A Basketball season is over once again, and we must say that it was a very successful year for Coalton High. We lost 6 games but overcame those by winning 17. During the year ourtop scorer was David Harvey who scored a total of M69 points throughout the season. At the first of the season Don Skidmore was chosen Captain. With Captain Skidmore, Coach Gainer, and the rest of the boys we started out the season with a victory over St. Patricks but lost to Buckhannon, then we defeated. the Alumni. The next two games were close, but we were defeated by Parsons and Belington. Then we won four in a row by defeating St. Patricks Flemington,- Beverly and Pickens. We lost to Tygarts Valley on their floorg we were defeated by Belington in another close game. For the next five games the boggvreally rallied and defeated Harman, Walkersvllle, erli, Flemington and Harman again, but then were defea ed by Thomas ln a very close game. The next four games were played on the home floor and we easily won them all. These victims were Parsons, Tygarts Valley, Thomas, and Walkersville. Q 'rounmanamrs The section 11 HBH Tournament was played in the Elkins High School gymnasium February 28 29, and March 1. The Coalton Bears ln their first game defeated Beverly H9-32. Beverly had won its first game from Pickens. Tygarts Valley won its first game by defeating Harman. oalton then decisively won over Tygarts Valley in the Championship game by a score of 52-40. Three of our boys Don kidmore, Tony Ross, and David Harvey, made the All-Tournament teama and Anita Demotto won the best cheerleader awar . - The following week we journeyed to the Re- gional Tournament which was played in the Alderson- roaddus College gymnasium in Phillipgi. There we lost our game to avis by a score of 8-57.
