61644 ln the fall of l94l, we, the Class of -45 , little knowing that we were beginning one of the greatest itineraries of our lives, entered Coaldale High School as Freshmen. During our Freshman year our contributions were few and unnoticed by the more mature upper classmen. Several weeks passed before we became accustomed to the routine of the school. Then came the Freshman initiation, and we really became initiated. After a well spent vacation, we returned to our Alma Mater, and continued our studies as Sophomores. Now we had more interest in our Alma Mater. Some of our boys donned the uniforms of the varsity football team, and performed notably on the gridiron. When vacation time came again, we really enioyed it. School time rolled around fast, and we found ourselves facing our Junior year. Our Turkey Hop and Prom crowned the social season of that year and proved successful. ln the fall of I944 we began, as Seniors, our last year of school to- gether, before being scattered to the four corners of the world. Our boys took the honors in the field of sports. On January 24, l945, the Senior Class Play, Girl Shy was presented and we are sure it was enioyed by all. As we approached graduation, many of our classmates had left us to ioin in the fight for Freedom. The Class of l945 is proud of these boys.
