Standing-Stephen Radocha, Dr. Leonard Lithgow, Evan Stevens. The high standing of our schools is due largely tu our Board of Education. These men have given valuable time, talent and effort to promote the progress of the Coaldale schools. The people of the community, the faculty and the student body know that they will con- tinue to serve faithfully and wish to thank them for their splendid efforts. During the past school year, many changes have been made in our administration. Mr. R. B. Harvey succeeded the late Mr. Iohn E. Gildea as supervising principal. Mr. W. E. Berger succeeded Mr. A. C. Moser as principal and Mr. Lithgow was elected to the position of assistant principal. Miss Pascoe our popular executive secre- tary left us in December, to become married. We wish her every happiness. Miss Ruth Parfitt has been elected to fill this position. We know these leaders will serve diligent- ly and make school life more pleasant and profitable for all. . , 1 INSTRUCTIQN HND HDVICE x MISS WYSHOSKY School Nurse L r First Row: Miss C. KEEBLER The annual Senior Class Play, Red Hot Peppers , under the capable direction of Mr. Keebler was presented at niatinee and evening performances on November 29 before large and enthusiastic audiences. The troubles of the Pepper family were cleverly and ac- curately portrayed by a cast of players who captivated their audiences by sheer dramatic talent and personality. lt would be useless and unfair to praise one player above another because each member of the cast squeezed his part dry. Nobody stole the show . The parts were well balancedy each part provided ample opportunity for the amateurs to run the entire gamut of human emotions. Unquestionably, the play was a dramatic and financial success. Left to Right: Sue Zulick. John Griffith. Michael Kupec. Loretta Herring. James Moran. Ann Bensch. The program was divid- A ed into two parts. The first part was a minstrel composed ot six end men, ten soloists, a dance chorus of six girls from the grade school, a vocal duet, a vocal trio and a well-trained mixed chorus ot 64 voices. At the end of the minstrel, musical selections were ren- dered by the Coaldale High Saxaphone trio and by the Coal- dale High Octette. Ann Kramer did a tap dance. The second halt consisted of a hilarious comedy entitled HNDIGASS-H2111-QgISG.l,: in which girls' parts were enacted by boys. The purpose of this club is to teach students to respond to the problems and contacts of everyday life, Which, of course, call for kind- ness, thoughtfulness, and courtesy to others. The members of this club not only study about good manners, but they go further by re- producing in their meetings, as nearly as prac- ticable, the conditions for real social life. This is especially important since many of us know good manners but fail to use or practice them. OFFICERS President . .,.,.. . . ,Eleanor Revtyak Vice President ....
