Senior Class History CLASS OFFICERS President-Philip Ieffries Secretary-Margaret Barrett Vice-President-Theodore Berger Treasurer-Michael Skeerca Class Colors-Green and Gold Class Flower-Yellow Tea Rose Class Motto- Let us Labor to Excel. It was on September 3, 1932, that the Class of '36 entered Coaldale High School as Freshmen. It took us several Weeks to become accustomed to the routine of the school. Freshmen though we were, We early became active in the schoo1's activities. This was indicated by the number of l:'reshies who participated in the two Minstrels, and in the Operetta, Chonita. The next year saw the return of a self-important group of students, called Sophomores. During this year a larger number of our classmates were inter- ested in outside activities. Our class was well represented in the annual minstrel, the County Pageant, and athletics. The third year at C. H. S. found the Class of '36 a more experienced and dignified group. We were now upper classmen. Our Iunior Year was an excellent combination of pleasures and hardships. We cooperated in all our activities and were successful in everything we undertook. The outstandng socal event of the term Was our Iunor Prom. After two months of unrestrained enjoyment, the Class of '36 with one hundred twenty-four members remaining, returned to finish its high school career. Our activities commenced soon after our leaders were elected. The musical comedy, lt's a Knockout, and the Senior Play, The Whole Town's Laughing, afforded opportunities to every Senior who was dramatically inclined. Our Class successfully sponsored the Senior Autumn Dance, the Mardi Gras and the highlight of our social season, the Senior Ball. As Graduation draws near, We hope that our future may be as full of fun and work as have been these four successful years at Coaldale High School.
