z1!0er112fen0Qfzf gf 505006 georye 79 Gongeer DEAR GRADUATES OF 1964 The time has come for you to assess the value of your education in terms of your ideals and principles. These standards have been molded by example as well as by precept. Through your education the gem of knowledge has been so cleverly cut that it has become a diamond that will bring out fires not to be seen in rougher stones. We have given you some assurance of the skill and ability necessary to earn a living. But education must do more than enable a man to earn a living. It must teach good citizenship. This, however, is not an end in itself. The good citizen must be a good mang and the good life should be the goal of the good man and the citizen. We wish for-each of you that inner light of knowledge and skill which will enable you to apprehend life's highest good and to pursue it against every temptation and storm that may assail you. May the light of your past education be reflected through your graduation, casting an even brighter ray on the pathway to your future. Sincerely, George P. Conbeer
