-wr-W., -...A ,, nwgw W f ,K - 'D -,. 'W Q 0MQm is x Www? Entering in 1945 as a very insignificant group of freshmen we have slowly but surely advanced through the various stages of our freshman, sophomore, and junior years, finally reaching the greatly envied rank of seniors. During this time there were many changes in our ranks, some falling by the wayside, a few transferring to other schools and several newcomers joining our class. Early in our high school career our class was organized, Wilda Brtlett being elected president of the freshman class. Shirley Hrt- lett was president of the sophomore class and Frankie Martin served in this capacity in the junior'c1ass until he entered the Navy. Bobby Jack Young took the lead then. To guide us through the senior year the class selected Winfred Williams for president. All these officers have performed their duties in a very creditable manner and have always aided in the advancement of the class. Falling heir to the right to edit the annual--no others disputing this privilege--the class has set out to issue the best year book ever published by this school. With this in view the staff was selected early in the year and started on its duties immediately. While the class makes no claims of u usual greatness we have played our part in the drama of CHHS. You will miss us for awhile until others take our place. But we shall never forget, for nothing can take the place of the four years of joy and sorrow, failure and success. As you read this record in the years to come grant a small portion of your memories to the CLASS OF '49. Q! 1 N yxfsl QR 6 ' l We .
