pecial Recognition To . . . t 'li I I . . Dr. McKinley Charles Martin President The 1985 Coahoman staff recognizes the contributions Dr. McKinley Charles Martin is making to Coahoma Junior College and Agricultural High School. Since his appointment as President of his Alma Mater in 1979, Dr. Martin's broad visionary conception and his dynamic implementation of an ideal pro- gressive and a community college has positioned Coahoma as a pace-setting institution. Under his energetic leadership, the college has attained significant accomplishments and achievements. His successes as an administrator can be attributed to his reputation as an educator and his firm commitment to excellence. During his four years as Chief Executive of Coahoma Junior College, Dr. Martin has distinguished himself as an educator, a builder and an humanitarian. As an educator, he has successfully and innovationally expanded Coahoma's program and course offerings. As a builder, two new residence halls have been erected, the construction of a vocational-technical annex and a physical plant building are under way. Because of his zeal for educational excellence, he has successfully piloted numerous federal and state grant awards at the college. Most recent among other federal awards is the Endowment Grant. As a humanitarian, his services through the various community, state, and national organizations and boards stands as a shining beacon for his commit- ment to Coahoma Junior College's motto: The College That Cares. The Coahoman staff salutes Dr. McKinley Charles Martin as an administrator, an educator, a builder and an humanitarian. This tribute, we believe, is a reward he richly deserves for the impact he has made on the lives of many people through his leadership.
