E SEM .ef 3 X -'rf 'bean Bt Wessaye I wish to congratulate the 1968 editorial staff of The Coahoman and extend my best wishes for a successful publication. Your 1968 yearbook theme Learning for Leadership means, we believe that all Coaho- ma Jtmior College students are capable of becoming, growing, learning and developing. We believe also that for this goal to be attained the faculty must be committed to self examina- tion and change, and the students and the faculty must be involved in the decision making processes that affect learning and leadership development. This type of interaction on the part of faculty and students provides opportunities for them to explore ideas, feelings, values and opinions, thereby helping students discover what is basic in the development of leaders in a democracy. I am proud of the fact that you have shared in decision making while working on this publication, and that you have worked hard to make this a learning and leadership activity which has contributed to your personal development. Mary G, Whiteside

57 mzbzkfrabbn 'haf' MR. MARION M. REID Registrar To the Members of the Annual Staff: I congratulate you on putting together another beautiful edition of The Coahoman . To the Student Body: Many of you have made me feel very proud of your academic achievements here at Coahoma Junior College this year. A total of 879 were enrolled during the Fall and Winter Quarters, and with the additional applications on hand for the Spring Quarter our total for the year will probably exceed 900. Of the more than 500 Freshmen enrolled for the Fall Quarter, 84 made the Honor Roll, and of the more than 300 Sophomores, 40 made the Honor Roll. We are very proud of this academic achievement of these fine young people and hope that this is an incentive to greater accomplishments. To those of you who are leaving us this year, may we see you again soon, as you return to visit and relive for a moment some of the happiest days of your lives . Marion M. Reid Registrar
