Mclaurin Resigns James Earl Miller Named Head Of County School , IB. F. McLaurin, president of Coahoma Junior College - a school that saw its enrollment expand from 22 to 728 during the past 17 years of his presi- dency today announced his res- ignation because of poor health. ' McLaurin will stay on at the school as administrative assist- ant, a full-time post with re- duced duties. K l James Earl Miller, present- ly administrative assistant andf English instructor at CJC, will be elevated to the position of president at the junior college. 1935. He rose to superintendent? of the school in 1946, and three: years later the school expanded to the junior college level, be- coming the first public Negro junior college in Mississippi.
