T 1 Although their human pyramid was done in vain, the Junior Class never gave up during the Homecoming Week activities and finished a very close second to the Seniors. 2 Linda Graves and Gabby Loutsenhizer are examples of the enthusiastic spirit that Seniors displayed every day during Home-coming Week. 3 The climax to the spirit-filled week of Homecoming was the Varsity Football Game, which saw the powerful Arabs demolish the Calexico Bulldogs 34-7. 4 The students loyalty to their Arab football teams never ended at the pep rallies, but carried on through the games as well. i 25 i A 57 2: I A 1 tl , 'i ese ' 3 ' . -. , 5' ' - 'il' . , V gig, V Q ,V ' g g A -, , E35 3 is 'T 1 Tlwfmalf-time festivities were brigfgtgnpedfgiy the Junior Class F5'aT 'lHlollywood , which carried out the Homecoming theme of llC.V, Goes to the lVlovies. The triumph over Barstow revenged the loss the Arabs suffered to them during the first-round CIF playoffs in 1976. 3 The new procedure of registering and receiving the use of school lockers before school even started, proved both interesting and confusing. The aim was to give students the classes and lockers they wanted to have. 4 Happiness and excitement ' prevailed at the Date Bowl when out-going Homecoming Queen, Elva Sanchez, passed her title on to the newly-crowned Queen, Mary Arce.
