Henry Vice-Principal Members of the Class of 1969 The world we live in, the world in which you will shortly have a larger measure of participation, is a troubled one, be- set with many problems. Yet it is true that strife and con- flict have been the burden of people throughout history. Actually we have many things for which to be thankful. We have the privilege of living in this great country of ours, rather than in any other nation on earth. Here we have the opportunity and the responsibility to Work out our differ- ences to reach mutual decisions for the Welfare of all. These privileges are not universal. You will have an opportunity to exert a measure of in- fluence on these problems through your leadership and through the leaders you help select. It is the earnest wish of all those who have worked with you that you will bring the full force of your spiritual, moral, mental and physical training to bear on your future activities.
