In the second game, Clyde had to settle for a tie after going ahead 12-0 in the first quarter. The DeSales game was played in a sea of mud and water. Against Waterloo, Clyde gave the opponents a 6-0 victory in a close and hard-fought game. After a decisive defeat by Seneca Falls, the Clyde team met Penn Yan and showed more power and spark than in any previous game, as they won 19-6. By this time, the 1956 squad reached its stride as it overpowered its traditional rival. Lyons, and scored at will against Pal-Mac in the final game.
