CLASS HlS'l'0IlY In September of 1952, we, the new freshman class of C.C.S., happy and inquisitive, began our career as high school students. As a large class under the able leadership of Miss Smith, we chose our first class officers. They were: President, Marianne Pulvinog Vice-President, Nancy Statesg Secretary, Lorriane Pierson: and Treasurer, Kenneth Di Santo. Now we were REAL members of Senior High School. As Sophomores, we had Mr. English as our class advisor. The first topic on our agenda was, of course, the election of class officers. Lavern Anstee was elected Presidentg Robert Celso, Vice-President: Betty Petrosino, Secretary: and Carle Foote, Treasurer. we earned money for our Treasury by selling football and basketball pins and pencils. Basketball programs also helped to fatten our treasury. By the time our Junior year began, we felt like old-timers in high school. Mr. DeLisle and Mrs. Dennis were chosen as class advisors this year. At our first class meeting we elected class officers. They were: President, Kenneth Di Santo: Vice-President, Marianne Pulvinog Secretary, Josephine Landag Treasurer, J arnes DeLuca. Our first big chance to get out and really earn some money was our Junior Class Christmas Card Campaign. Everyone worked hard and a good profit was cleared. Soon discussion began about a Junior prom. It was to be our first big class dance and we wanted to Do it up right. Even though we worked many hard and long hours, The Stardust Ball fas we tabbed ity did not meet all of our expectations. For our J unior-Senior Picnic we ventured to Cayuga Lake early in J une. Both classes paid part of the bill and loads of fun was had by all. In September we were back again--at least most of us were back. But, somehow, something seemed different. It was the same school, the same class members, and most of the same teachers. The difference was that we were High and Mighty Seniors and we loved it. This year our class advisors were Mrs. Dennis and Mr. O'Brien, Kenneth Di Santo was elected Presidentg Marianne Pulvino, Vice-President: Josephine Landa, Secretaryg and Owen Johnson, Treasurer. Within a couple of weeks we discussed havinga magazine selling campaign. We chose teams but this time a spaghetti dinner selling campaign. We chose teams but this time a spaghetti dinner was to be given by the losing team, but the campaign was declared a tie. On December 23rd, we had our Senior Candlelight Ball. Music was by the Checkmates and Josephine Landa and Bob Fratangelo were chosen King and Queen. The last gathering of our class as a whole fbefore graduationj was our Senior Trip. Five glorious days in New York City under the guidance of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Griffen and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Di Renzo. When we came home we were tired and full of excitement about our excursion but it was back to school again. The following weeks were to be our LAST in the Halls of Clyde Central SchooL Graduation--an important milestone in the lives of the members of the Class of '56. Only one thing is certain--that is the past--and our treasured memories of the happy days we spent in Clyde Central School, Clyde Central may forget us, but--WE WILL NEVER FORGET HER. 21
