The Blue and White has emerged victorious in fourteen out of fifteen games. The loss was acquired in an especially thrilling game with Aquinas, who had already suffered defeat in a previous game with Clyde. The team, under the coaching of John Baynes, has displayed good sportsmanship with the help and support of the sportsmanlike Clyde spectators. Clyde won the Wayne County ABC League championship and represented Wayne County's Class A schools in the Section V spring tournament. Coach DerCola, in his sophomore year at Clyde, again experienced a very successful season, winning seven while losing only one. Playing their initial game on their home field against Webster, Clyde rolled to a 32-12 victory. In the following week they journeyed to Auburn and once again were victorious by a 27-6 score. The next two weeks saw the Blue Devils play at home and defeat De Sales 4-5-7 and in a hard fought game conquer Waterloo 24-7 score. Then came the big game of the season and although Clyde was defeated by the Seneca Falls team 18-6 we bounced back with three successive vic- tories over Penn Yan, Lyons and Palmyra and onoe again we had the Wayne County championship. As a highlight to Clyde's already successful season, four men were named on the Wayne- Finger Lakes all star team. They were fullback Wes Kise, halfback Tom Castellano, end Ray Hendershot, and co-captain John Colasurdo. Receiving honorable mention were tackle Fred Kelsey, guard Marty Pursati, guard Ken Di Santo, center Dave Di Renzo and quarterback Tom Fischette.
