Albert Holliday Captain... .........MartyFratange1o Under the direction of their new coach Nick Der Cola, the Clyde eleven completed a success- ful season. Opening their season at Webster with 21-6 victory, the Blue Devils returned home the fol- lowing week end and defeated a spirited Holy Family team 14-12. Clyde that went away for two games and came home with victories over DeSales 21-6 and Waterloo 12-6. Defeat at the hands of a powerful Seneca Falls team failed to dim the spirit of the Clyde team and they boomed back with three more victories over Penn Yan 39-19, Lyons 32-6 and Palmyra 26-6. These three wins gave Clyde their fifth straight Wayne County Championship. As I climax to the season, Ken Furman was named on the All-State second team and Lou Molisani and Marty F ratangelo received Honorable Mention. BASKETBALL LEFT TO RIGHT: A. Murtari, W. Atkins, T.Fischette, D. Hall, R. Pettingill, R. Hen- dershot, L. Molisani, F. Kelsey, R. Sharp, R. O'Donnell, R. Thorn, Mr. Baynes, Up to this writing, the Clyde cagers have obtained the title of Wayne County B-C Champions with only one loss of the season to a determined Marion team. After this upset game, Clyde went right to town with a 16 straight winning streak. The team, of course, had its close calls with Pal-Mac 60-55, Sodus 48-56, the unforgettable Williamson game 33-29, and the fast moving Marion play-off 55-53. Lou Molisani and Ray Hendershot were the leading scorers of the season, specializing in rebounds. Dick Pettingill, Bill Atkins and Tommy Fischette proved skill in their set shots. Substitutes Don Hall, Bob Sharp, Fred Kelsey, Rusty Thorn, Anthony Murtari and Rusty O'Donnell were in there pitching all the time keeping the team scores up.
