O I Fifty long but profitable years down the winding, rocky paths of progress, building, and learning have made the Clovis school system what it is today. Some of us take that all- important step out into the world and others still prepare for that moment. We all antic- ipate with a little joy, a little wonder, the time when we shall suhsist on Cod-given instinct, what we have learned on our own, and what others have taught us, that largest portion of accumulated knowledge. Countless people have given innumerable hours of priceless time in order that we might have strong, solid foundations upon which to huild our lives. Without these, we would not have the confidence of young men and women. Instead, we would greet the world as shaking children. We shall be ever indebted to the 'gbuilders, the '4darers, the 4'conquerors, who have passed their traits down to us to be shared with all mankind and it is to these faithful and courageous leaders to whom the 1959 PLAINSMAN staff dedicates this annual.
