The administration, faculty, students and organizations have made piossible the pictures portrayed - have, in short, supplied a purpose for our work. Better facilities have kept Clovis Union High School in pace with its ever- increasing enrollment. During the past year, Clovis High has had the largest faculty in its history to accommodate the largest number of students in the history of the school. lf this Cavalcade reminds you of the enioyable times you have had at school this year, and, if in future years you find yourself referring back to it and smiling, then our task has been accomplished. ADMINISTHATIUN ' BU HD TRUSTEES CARL MERRIMAN DELBERT SMITH Former Prealdeni of the Board Presidenr of the Board CHARLES PREUSS -I4 E- BRETZ Vrve-Presldcnr of We Board GGY!! of The Board EINAR COOK CHARLES LEMMON - r .. N ,K ALA ga? . X C fffl wfw FRANK A. HEATH PBI CIP!-lL'S MESS GE My congratulations to the Class of '5l for the records they have left behind them here at Clovis Union High School not only in track and other sports but in all lines of endeavor. Some of these records in our school activities will set new standards for the classes which follow to strive to surpass, others represent the best effort possible, and still others with more effort, more enthusiasm, and more interest could have been bettered. As in track, it is as true in life that we are not all fitted for the same events. Nor is it possible for all of us to be the best in the race. As you look back on your experiences may yiou iudge them not in comparison with what someone else has done but only as they may represent your best efforts. Congratulations to this class which is leaving and to Editor Eugene Faretta, Adviser Audrey Cummings, and the staff which has prioduced this excellent book. lt is a privilege to extend to my faculty co-workers and the members of the student body my thanks and appreciation for the ciooperation and service which they have so cheerfully given throughout the entire year. Production of the 1951 yearbook would not have been possible without the undivided and faithful services of many people: Our principal, Mr. Frank Heath, and the faculty, who were co-operative and understanding during the trying days that the annual was being pro- duced, Maxwell Studio, who made the excellent photographs of the people and events of the year 1950-1951 at Clovis High, The Thomas Lithograph Company, who did a wonderful job of lithography in our book, The advertisers, who so generously contributed to the financial success of the book, Mr. Phillip Garver, who assisted greatly in proof reading and checking, Miss Audrey Cummings, our adviser, who gave so generously of her time and talent to produce this fifteenth issue of Cavalcade, We, The Staff, extend our deepest thanks and heartfelt appreciation.
