The year 69-70 was no exception. Students at Cloverleaf witnessed the advent of the Pom-Pom girls. Their routines were enjoyed by all and provided a welcome break between the halves of basketball games. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them, Talent Night was another new idea started at Cloverleaf this year. We hope it becomes a yearly event. We hope that this editor’s page that we have initiated becomes a traditional part of the yearbook. The football team that won when picked to lose, pleasantly surprised everyone. When the prom turned out so well, more than a few seniors were shocked. One of the most disturbing things this past year was the lack of participation by students, Clubs were ineffective and could not reach their potential due to a lack of student involvement, Whatever happened to the Fine Arts Club? Varsity ‘ C’s’ support at basketball games was a let-down from the year before. The lack of enthusiasm displayed by the Junior Class at pep rallies did more to disappoint the basketball team than to encourage it. One of the most prevalent attitudes among students was that of untest. One of the milder forms of protest was the Earth Day demonstration in which the students expressed their disgust with pollution. We feel that Earth Day should be observed every day instead of once a year. Students dismay with administrative policies was made known at the Student Council forum. Abolishing the dress code and pass system, and instituting an honor study hall were the main points brought up by students. We feel that the dress code should be completely done away with since school should be an academic institu- tion and not a style show. The present pass system cannot be abolished until a more efficient system can be found to replace it, Anhonor study hall for seniors was tried out successfully the last few weeks of school, In May the voters rejected the school operating levy again. School determines our futures and we can only hope that they levy will pass the next time it is presented to the people, We hope that we will not be forced to accept the suggested alternatives and that school will remain open throughout the 10-1 school year. The above ideas concerning the past year reflect our opinions, Yours in print, Alan Avery Misr, Ora! Steven Ancik Yearbook co-editors 143 eeeree? tne scenes _ fee Ee ee a ee
