: j i Mr. Wood Retires Mr. Wilbur S. Wood graduated from the Crooksville, Ohio Public Schools and then went on to receive a B.A. degree from Otterbein College in 1925. In 1925 he taught school and coached basketball in Martinsburg High School in Knox County. The next year he married his college classmate, Martha, and became principal in the Gambier Schools. Frém 1927 to 1943 he served as superintendent of the Wakeman Schools in Huron County. In 1930 Mr. Wood received his M,A, degree from Ohio State University. Mr. Wood came to Lodi in 1943. Two additions were built in 1949 and in 1955. The first Vocational Agriculture course was started by him at Lodi and then included in the Cloverleaf Senior High where several vocational courses have been added due to his interest in this area. In 1957 the present Cloverleaf School District was formed and Mr, Wood was selected as superintendent, a position he has held both during the construction of the Cloverleaf Senior High School and the reorganization of the district During his 41 years as an administrator, he has been equally interested in each area of the curriculum and has tried to constantly add to or improve the courses of study in both the elementary and secondary schools. He has enjoyed his 42 years of school work and wishes for the continued progress of the Cloverleaf District. The Woods will retire to Anaheim, California, where their son, Kenneth, owns an office supply store.
